Intensive summer film school and short film courses taught by Australia's leading, award-winning filmmakers, using state of the art camera equipment and professional gaffers, and grips.
For aspiring filmmakers of all ages. Held only once a year during the summer holidays at International House, Melbourne University, the Filmmaking Summer School is the only industry-based film course for beginners, media teachers, students and those wanting to up-skill or change career direction.
All our courses, Script to Screen, Cinematography Intensive, Writing, Acting and Directing Masterclasses and Filmmaking Fundamentals are open for people of all ages with little or no prior film making experience. They are also suitable for practising film makers or actors wanting to change career direction as well as media teachers and students, production companies wishing to train staff, photographers wanting to move to the moving image, and anyone wanting to understand, and learn, all the steps to make great films.
